Reading List:

The History of Felt Hats

Supplies List

This is a basic list that will help you begin to decide where YOU want to begin and what you want to create. There are a lot of different options for tools and supplies that require personal preference when choosing so I can’t link everything; only give you list for you to start with. There are some specific items linked.

NOTE: There are many places to order millinery tools, so you will have to decide where you want to order from, but these are the items you need to look for. When ordering a hat block, measure your head size and then order the same size block. Do not specify heights. If you are in between sizes, size up. If you plan to use leather sweatbands, you will also need to size up one size for your block.
