Welcome!

For the first time ever, I am opening my studio doors to offer a truly private, one-on-one hat making mentorship—an intimate apprenticeship where the knowledge of millinery is passed directly from maker to maker. This is a rare opportunity to step inside the craft in its purest form, taught not in theory, but through shared tradition, hands-on practice, and personal guidance.

Over the course of your 3 day mentorship, you will learn the art of both fur felt and straw hat making—from sourcing the right tools and rare materials to shaping, blocking, and finishing with precision. As a custom hat maker and textile expert, I’ll share advanced techniques, trade secrets, and the nuanced details that only come from years of experience at the workbench. Every lesson is tailored to you, meeting you where you are and guiding you toward the vision you want to create.

This isn’t a group class or a generic workshop. It’s a private apprenticeship, crafted around your pace, your goals, and your hands. You’ll leave not just with skill, but with the confidence, artistry, and understanding to truly kick start your hat making journey.

Beyond the studio, your time here is meant to be inspiring. Everything is walkable—hotels, coffee shops, breweries, restaurants, and even the beach. I’ll provide you with a personal guide so your days are as rich outside the studio as they are within it.

This is the first time I’ve offered a mentorship of this kind, and it may not be offered again. It is an invitation to step into a lineage of craft, knowledge, and artistry—an experience reserved for the few who are ready to make hat making a part of their story.
